RESERVE BANK OF MALAWI ON SALE BY A CONTRACTOR

As Malawi is going through many issues ranging from insecurities as witnessed by the hijacking of Honourable Minister Timothy Mtambo official vehicle and theft at the vice president’s office of the computers which contained sensitive issues relates to the mismanaging of Covid-19 funds it is also on the trail as the Contractor is about to sale off one main Branch of Central Bank of Malawi.

It is said that there was a Contractor Mr David Chidyaonga who was contracted to build the Mzuzu Branch building for the Central Bank of Malawi under the leadership of Professor Peter Mutharika a former president of Malawi who just lost General elections in June, 2020.

Mr David Chidyaonga who owns DD Designs Contractors after won the contract he did his part and finished everything in time.

Ever since the time Contractor finished the job in 2015 has not been paid his full dues till to date. The Man has decided to sale the Bank’s building in order to recover his fortunes.

“I have decided to sale this building at the value negotiable price of 18.4Billions Malawi Kwacha which I Know will cover my costsand all necessary dues”, said The Contractor.

In their statement the Central Bank of Malawi through their Public Relations Officer Onelie Nkuna confirmed the development to our journalist.

“The News got to our office and currently our legal team is working on applying to the High Court of Malawi to put an injunction for the contractor not to proceed with his plans of selling our Mzuzu Branch Building,” ramented the Publist Officer.
