PRESIDENT LAZARUS CHAKWERA OF NALAWI TAKES OVER SADC CHAIRMANSHIP

over SADC Chairmanship to President Chakwera of Malawi

The 2021 SADC summit is being held in Malawi this year where it’s 14 States membership is attending.

As per tradition, where the summit takes place the president of that country becomes the SADC CHAIRPERSON automatically.

SADC represents republican states in the Southern Africa Development Community where they among other things they look at fairness in trade among it’s members, freedom of border crossing, security issues and many others.

This year they are much concerned with thee wars in Mozambique and Democratic Republic of Congo, Agricultural issues and Education as well as Climate change issues.
