The Mabala hit maker finally smiles as he joins the top Government of Malawi.
Honourable Banda who comes from Eastern part of Malawi in Balaka District joined active politics in the year 2009 where he was voted as a member of Parliament in his home District.
The veteran musician started his music carrier in early 1990s with his debut album called Mabala. Currently he has produced over 30 albums.
The president of the Republic of Malawi on 14 August, 2020 made top appointments in his government where Hon. Banda was appointed Chief Advisor on Youth and Arts to the President a development where many sectors applauses to be a good decision by the top citizen.
Honourable Lucius Chicco Banda was in 2018 elected the Campaign Director for UTM, a party which is in Tonse Alliance.
General character of Honourable Banda is that he is a hard worker and people of Malawi commend his appointment.
Among other appointments made are of Mr Brian Banda to be State Press Officer, Reverend Kamwendo as the Chief Advisor on Religious Matters to the president and many others.
