Brief facts states that the Tipper truck was driving from Lilongwe direction to Blantyre direction carrying quarry stones.
When it reached at South Lunzu Primary School the driver lost control of the truck and it hit the minibus that was carrying 15 passengers.
Tye truck continued it’s journey without stopping until it reached Luwanda Trading center where it hit a shop and later stopped.
The tipper is identified to belong to Malawi Defense Force (MDF) and when the police interviewed the driver he said that the vehicle had lost its breaking system hence the two incidents.
All the passengers were taken to the Hospital and one was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Full details of the both vehicles not yet provided and police is yet to make it’s official statement of the accident.
It was also yesterday on 4 December, 2021 another minibus accident occurred along Mzuzu-Karonga road where many lives were also lost.
