DIRECTOR OF MALAWI STATE RESIDENCES ARRESTED

News just happening in Malawi says the former Director of State Residents for former president Peter Mutharika who is Mr Peter Mukhito has just been arrested today 28 July, 2020 at about noon hours our reporter said.

He has been arrested because he is linked in the Cement saga case we reported last week in which the Other people are also answering the same case. These are Mr Norman Chisale, Tadikira and one Indian Shafiq Choonora.
All these are answering a case on which cement was imported in Malawi during the time of Professor Peter Mutharika which is estimated at the amount of Mk5 billions equivalent to $8 millions without paying tax.
Mukhito will appear before court to answer his charges soon. 
Mr. Peter Mukhito once served as Malawi Police Inspector General during the time of late Bingu Wa Mutharika until his time of death in 2012.
He is currently being kept at Lilongwe Main Police Station in the capital city of Malawi.
