BREAKING: NEW POLIO CASES REPORTED IN LILONGWE MALAWI

 African Connect Site has brought you the breaking news currently being announced by the Malawi Government through its Ministry of health about the new reported polio case in the capital city of Lilongwe.

In her speech madam minister Vera Kamtukule who is the minister of health announced during a press briefing yesterday on 17 February 2022 in Lilongwe Malawi.

She also said that the government is also making all arrangements to control the spread to other parts of the country as it has only been reported in the central part of the country.

Spokesperson for the ministry also commented during the press that the polio incident is found in a person who is less than 15 years of age.

Polio cases were first reported in Malawi in early 1980s during Hastings Kamuzu regime and they developed a strategy to give vaccines to children under the age of 5 unfortunately this current case is a different one.

To some people from ministry of health who denied to bee mentioned their names said that there a number of cases already reported but government only chose to report just one case. 

The anonymous person continued saying that the cases being reported indicate that people who took their full coronavirus vaccines are being affected with such complications.

At the moment the government of Malawi are not as much as serious with the adult vaccine jabs instead are injecting the minors in primary schools without the approval of their parents.

Some concerned parents and civil rights organizations leader Silvester Namiwa tried to sue the government through court but never succeeded.
