| Chibwe kills himself due to undeclosed issues |
Saturday was a beautiful day for everyone in the Town Mponela in Dowa District only in later hours of the day that a 21years old boy hanged himself due to known reasons. The boy is Gift Chibwe who was staying with his brother and a student college.
When the incident occurred it was reported to the police who later rushed to the scene.
Deputy Spokesman for Mponela police Macpatson Msadala has confirmed to African Prime News Reporter and said the incident occurred on January 30, 2021 at about 1600hrs at Mdyambuzi Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mponela in the district of Dowa. Chibwe hanged himself using a rope which was used to draw water from a well within the compound.
“It has been reported that earlier in the morning, Chibwe, who has not left any note had gone to visit his girlfriend in the afternoon. Upon receiving report, police officers rushed to the scene with a clinician from Mponela Hospital who after postmortem pronounced that he died of suffocation secondary to hanging,” said Msadala.
Currently the Investigations are under-way to find out the main of the incident.
Chibwe was a second year student studying Human Resources Management at one of theathe colleges in Mangochi District.
Chibwe was originally fromKamamchenjeza Village in Ntchisi District which found in part of Central Region of Malawi.
The Community Policing In-Charge at the said police station warned people not to resolve matters by taking their own lives.
